My maternal grandfather was Karl Heinzman of Eichelberg, Germany, He dropped the second “n” upon arrival at Ellis Island in 1899. Karl had a brother, Alois (Louis) who lived in Waterloo, Iowa. whereas Karl lived in Altoona, Pa and worked for the Penn RR from 1904-1940.My mom, Louise, was one of several children Karl and Sophia Becherer Heinzman had from their union. Karl and Alois’ father was Anton Heinzmann, and he lived in Eichelberg, which is located in southwestern Germany. FYI. I’ll be glad to hear from you
Heinzman’s out there in cyberspace. I understand it’s a fairly common German surname.

I was so excited to find this website by accident. I have a lot of information on the Heinzman’s in Hamilton County. We kept the Heinzman Reunion going until 2010! The first one was held on July 22, 1916. A lot of notes on births, deaths, & marriages provided in all the reunion notes. If I can be of any help with any info, feel free to contact me. My great, great grandma was Anna Heinzman( Jacob, Phillip, Johann)

MICHAEL IS THE SON OF AUGUSTINE BUSCHER AND ANNA MARIE MAPPES BUSCHER WHO SETTLED IN HAMILTON COUNTY IN 1836 FROM DIRMSTIEN, GERMANY. TAIL END WITH BERTHA 1890-1942

HOWEVER I ALSO HAVE ELIZABETH HEINZMAN MARRIED TO SAMUEL AUGUSTINE BUSCHER 1856-1935. NOTHING MORE ON ELIZABETH BUT SAMUEL’S TREE ALSO GOES BACK TO AUGUSTINE AND ANNA MARIE. THEY HAD 3 CHILDREN SON JOHN DAUGHTERS ANNE 1884 AND ELIZABETH 1877. AGAIN TRAIL STOPS.

I’m a Heinzman from connecticut…my grandfather eli leroy heinzman sr. was born in 1926 i believe in PA. i dont know if its possable i have reletives out there i dont know…but it would be nice to know

my family can from Heidelburg in 1924. My father was John Frederick wilhelm henry joseph Heinzman son of Frank and brother of Joseph. Dad was born in 1919 and came to the US when he was 5yrs of age. It seams they were the late comers. Frank served the Zar in WWI and Dad was posted in Europe in WWII for the US. We might be related from the old country.

Everyone,

My name is Dawn Heinzman, and I was born and raised in Oregon. I have a twin brother named Ryan, and our father’s name is Paul. I don’t know a lot about my father’s father’s side of the family, but my father is just as interested in genealogy as I am, and so he is learning more about our Heinzman roots through getting back in touch with our relatives.

From what I DO know, I know that my father’s father’s name was Bill, William Heinzman, and his parents’ (my Great Grandparents’) names were William Heinzman Sr. and Dorothy Reese. My grandfather is no longer alive; he died of bone cancer and lymphoma, and my Great Grandfather is no longer alive either; he died of a heart attack, but my Great Grandmother is still alive, and it just so happens that my twin brother and father just went to see her for her 91st birthday a few days ago! For as long as my Great Grandmother has been alive, all the generations of Heinzmans I know of have lived in Yamhill County in Oregon.

It is nice to know that there’s a website dedicated to our last name. I hope that I make connections on here as much as others appear to have made.
