APPLE SAUCE CAKE (Glenn Heinzman’s favorite) 1924
l cup lard (Keep in mind, back then, lard was used for everything. I’m sure you can use shortening in this day and age.)
2 cups sugar
2 1/2 cups hot apple sauce
3 tbsps. cocoa
Spices to taste
4 tsp. baking soda
2 cups raisins
4 to 4 1/2 cups flour
